What is pop-up foil in sheets?
Pop-up foil is hair foil packed as separate sheets of identical size that pull out one at a time like tissues. A COLORLISSE box holds 500 individual 13 × 28 cm sheets, so there is nothing to measure, tear or cut from a roll.
Who is this salon foil for?
The foil is made for professional hair colouring: sectioning, lightening, balayage, highlights and other foil techniques. It is used by hairdressers and colourists in the salon, following the instructions of whichever colour product they have chosen.
What colour and thickness is the foil?
The foil is pink on one side and silver on the other, and it is 15 microns thick. That thickness is made for folding and helps the foil hold its shape during the service.
How many sheets are in a box?
One COLORLISSE box holds 500 sheets of 13 × 28 cm. On average that is enough for roughly 10–15 full highlighting services, depending on the technique and the length of the hair.
How much does delivery cost?
Delivery to an LP Express or Omniva parcel locker in Lithuania costs €3.49. Orders over €40 are delivered free of charge.
How do I pay for an order?
There is nothing to pay on the website. Once we receive the order we email a confirmation together with the MB Colorlisse bank transfer details, and we dispatch the goods once the payment arrives.
When will I get my order?
Once the payment arrives we dispatch within 2 working days. The carrier usually reaches the parcel locker in 1–3 working days, so the whole wait is most often 2–5 working days.
Can I return the product?
Yes. A consumer has the right to withdraw from a distance contract within 14 calendar days of receiving the goods, without giving a reason. The product is also covered by the 2-year legal guarantee set out in law.
Can I order a larger quantity for a salon?
Yes — we prepare individual quotes for salons and professionals ordering larger quantities. Write to us with the quantity you need and we will send a price.
What is COLORLISSE?
COLORLISSE is the brand under which MB Colorlisse, a company in Klaipėda, Lithuania, sells professional hair foil in sheets. The foil can be ordered online at colorlisse.lt with delivery to parcel lockers across Lithuania.
Why choose pop-up foil over foil on a roll?
Pop-up foil sheets are already cut to one size, so they pull out one at a time with nothing to measure, tear or cut from a roll. Every sheet is the same, which makes the work in the salon quicker and tidier.
Why is COLORLISSE foil embossed?
The embossed surface grips the strand better, which makes the colour product easier to spread evenly. It also helps the foil fold neatly and stay in place during the service.
How should the foil be stored, and is it safe to use?
Store the foil somewhere dry, away from open flames, heat sources and out of the reach of children. The edges of the foil can be sharp, it must not go in a microwave, and the instructions of the colour product's manufacturer should always be followed.
Do I need an account to order?
No, you can order without an account: your name, email, phone and a parcel locker are enough. With an account you can see all your orders and their status.
Can I pay by card?
At the moment payment is by bank transfer only. Once we receive the order we email the MB Colorlisse bank details, and we dispatch the goods once the payment arrives.
Do you ship outside Lithuania?
At the moment we deliver only to LP Express and Omniva parcel lockers in Lithuania. If you need delivery to another country, write to us and we will see what we can do.
Can a company get an invoice?
Yes, we issue invoices to salons and companies. MB Colorlisse is not registered for VAT, so no VAT is shown on the invoice.
How can I contact COLORLISSE?
Email info@colorlisse.lt or call +370 616 81470. We answer enquiries within one working day.
Tips for colourists
Colouring hair with foil
Choosing foil? Read our guide on how to choose hair foil.
What is foil used for in hair colouring?
Foil separates the strands being coloured from the rest of the hair, so the lightener or colour reaches only the chosen strands and does not bleed onto the ones next to them. The result is clean, precisely placed highlights.
How many foil sheets does one highlighting service take?
A full head of highlights usually takes roughly 30–50 sheets, depending on the length and density of the hair and the technique. A partial service or a face frame needs far fewer.
Foil or paper for highlights – which should I use?
Foil holds its shape better and separates strands more precisely, so it is the usual choice for classic highlights and lightening. Paper is lighter and lets you see the product, so some colourists prefer it for softer blends.
Can foil be used for balayage?
Yes. Classic balayage is painted freehand, but many colourists use foil (often called foilayage) when they want brighter lift and want the painted sections kept away from the rest of the hair.
What foil thickness is best for hair colouring?
Thinner foil is lighter and more pliable but tears more easily, while thicker foil holds its shape and the weight of the product better. At 15 microns, COLORLISSE foil sits in between: easy to fold and firm once folded.
How do you fold foil when colouring hair?
Place a sheet under the sectioned strand as close to the roots as you can, spread the product evenly, then fold the foil in half from the bottom up. Fold in the sides or fold it once more so the foil stays put and the product cannot escape.
How do I stop colour bleeding out of the foil?
Avoid overloading the product right at the roots, take thin, clean sections, and fold the foil firmly without pressing it flat. Embossed foil grips the strand better and helps it stay in place.
How long should foils stay on the hair?
The timing is set by the manufacturer of the colour or lightener you are using, so always follow its instructions. Colourists usually check progress by opening one foil and decide from that whether it is time to rinse.
